Book Review: Fully Alive

It's book review time again! My latest read for Booksneeze was Fully Alive by Ken Davis. Perhaps you've heard of Davis, a popular speaker and radio show host. I'd heard clips from his Lighten Up! radio broadcasts and knew that he was a humorous, enthusiastic speaker.

Fully Alive is part autobiography, part self-help book, weaving stories of Davis' quest to live life to its fullest and challenging readers to do the same. Much of his stories center on his decision to lose weight and live a more active, healthy lifestyle. As someone who in the past few years has come to recognize how being physically fit impacts my overall outlook on life, I appreciated his practical advice on exercise and weight loss.

The book does not stick solely to the issues of weight loss, however. Davis addresses other areas where we hold back on living fully alive and why fear is such a big factor. Overall, I found his book to be an enjoyable read and one I'd read again.
